Step 1. Create a Metamask wallet

• If you don't already have it, install Metamask wallet browser extension.
• Create a new account.

Step 2. Add Mainnet to Metamask

Add the Mainnet to Metamask from within the Metamask wallet. Follow the below steps:

1. Open Metamask Wallet extension on your browser. Click on the ⋮ (three vertical dots, i.e., vertical ellipsis) at the top right.
2. Select Settings from the drop-down menu.
3. Select Networks > Add network.
4. Click on Add a network manually at the bottom of the networks list.
5. Enter the following details:
• Network name: "Subtensor"
• EVM RPC URL: https://lite.chain.opentensor.ai
• Chain ID: 964
• Currency symbol: TAO
6. Click Save.
7. Then click on Switch network.

With the above steps, you have successfully configured your Metamask wallet with the Mainnet.

1. Set up the two wallets

• SS58 wallet (Subtensor): Polkadot JS, Talisman, or BTCLI with some TAO on the Finney mainnet.
• H160 wallet (EVM): MetaMask. Add the "Subtensor" network as described above.

2. Open the official bridge

Go to https://bridge.bittensor.com/ and pick Mainnet (Finney) for real TAO.

3. Connect both wallets

• Click CONNECT H160 WALLET and approve the MetaMask pop-up.
• Click CONNECT SS58 WALLET and choose your Subtensor account.
• You should now see free balances for both sides.

4. Create the transfer

• Choose the direction SUBTENSOR → EVM (sending from your SS58 wallet to MetaMask).
• Enter the TAO amount or press MAX. The form shows:
• Net amount the recipient will get
• Estimated bridge fee (usually well under 0.02 TAO)
• Existential deposit reminder (leave about 0.005 TAO in the SS58 wallet)
• Click DEPOSIT and sign the transaction in your SS58 wallet.
